That was a fun read. Reminds me a bit of my mom’s stories. Mike Love’s dancing is just a hair better than Trump’s but Trigger’s is “hoofs” above.

When I was very young, I had one of those Golden Reader (?) books that starred Bullet, Roy Rogers' dog, but Trigger played a prominent role. (My wife has a really old Palomino, but it's a mare.) Great Beach Boys songs!
The Beach Boys rarely let you down. Even when Mike Love was expressing the emotional maturity of a 14-year-old, the music behind the lyrics was great.
