For some reason...and I don't know why...in the original version I kept writing "Kid's Today" with an unnecessary apostrophe, so I guess Kids Today can complain about the Kids of Yesterday who forget the rules of grammar.
Today's players are better athletes, but the game is less aesthetically pleasing. The young studs who can throw a baseball 100 miles an hour have contributed to less action in the game. The hitters decided to go over the top rather than go the other way. I'm leaning towards banning the shift in an attempt to showcase the better athletes on the defensive side of the ball.
