As a young idiot working in a pizza inn I would get bored with making the same type of pie and would try various creations. I do not recommend shrimp as a topping.
Completely agree with Governor Cox re: social media as a societal cancer. I have never been tempted to go on Twitter or whatever and am very glad I have. The rancor that's out there depresses me, so I stick to baseball to get all the news I really care about.
It's good for all of us (including me) to remember that the most extreme people are usually the loudest and there are reasonable people on both sides who don't get on social media and scream at each other.
Not sure where that places me, but at least I try to make complaints funny complaints.
Several decades ago, after barely getting a single piece of the pizza we brought on a 6 a.m. ski bus trip, a friend and I discovered that the best way to discourage pizza moochers - anchovies are way more effective than ham and pineapple.
I'm having a fabulous weekend now, in part, thanks to your post, Lee. I spent a sleepless night ruminating endlessly on all the political stuff. Over and over and what did it get me? Then I read your post, your cartoons are wonderful...and I'll admit I had a nap before I got around to reading my email, which helps...
