I'll take some credit for the humor, but the keen insights all came from the players and coaches and I got those insights by letting them talk about what they wanted to talk about.
I'm glad you're enjoying what I've done so far and I'm feel confident in saying what's coming next is even better.
Loved that team of course, not just because they were winners. The players had amazing chemistry with each other as well as individually they had a ton of personality.
There's a theory about that; more and more kids are growing up with the internet which means they're all having pretty much the same experience. The 2015 Royals had distinct personalities; Yordano Ventura the talented little brother who had trouble containing his emotions, Eric Hosmer the cool leader, Jarrod Dyson the extremely funny motor mouth and they all liked each other.
This is wonderful, Lee! I grew into baseball/ Royals fanhood, because you and the Star’s other sportswriters wrote such good stories about the team. So whether I’ve heard them before or not, I’m going to enjoy them! Thank you so much!
Waiting for more
Tune in tomorrow.
This is gonna be good. Can't wait for more.
I know the stories that are coming and they just keep getting better.
This post is exactly why I've missed Judging the Royals so much - the keen insights & humor.
I could post as long as you did, but I shan't. A few thoughts:
* I always wondered what Kendall's job description was; now I know: Director of Thuggery.
* Re: Gordon held @ 3B: Use your eyes & common sense; Gordo MIGHT have gotten halfway.
* Think I can get Uncle Rusty to will me his hair?
* Gordon & Hosmer: Brilliant defense, overrated offense; indispensable leadership.
* THE key, underrated players in regular season: Morales bat, C Young arm.
* Gore: thx for both belly laughs.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

It was an easy group to root for.
