Liked your use of movie dog names; was looking for Asta, but maybe you hadn't seen (I know this is a really late comment.) the classic Thin Man movies. (Myrna Loy alone makes them "must-see".)
Watched all the Thin Man movies and Myrna Loy was smoking hot. She's my go-to example when you see some elderly actress and wonder how and why she got famous and I'll say go check out Myrna Loy when she was young.
I had forgotten about Kurt Russell in The Thing. He was the guy who was after some booze in that. I think that he is still around, still pretty young in his early 70s.
MST-3K was one of my favorites. Very clever script-writing. Like a TV version of Zippy-the-pinhead satire. I still see YouTube clips now and then -- and I found it again on an off-channel the other day.
I will stick with "Big Trouble in Little China" with KR
I was just going to request that review next.
Liked that one as well. Loved that Kurt's character did a bunch of scenes with some after-kiss lipstick on his face.
Genius move. And the gf has to wipe it off. His character was so endearing somehow.

Yeah, it's way down on my YouTubeTV listings, but you can find it there if you look hard and often enough.
