Recently, a number of people have checked on me to see if I’ve been hit by a tornado. If you don’t count my recent bout with the flu, the answer is no. Nevertheless, friends and family back home in California – a state plagued by wildfires, mudslides and earthquakes – are concerned about my safety and I appreciate that.
