Apologies for being pedantic (also apologies if I didn't use that word correctly), but the Stealth is the B-2 not the B-1. The B-1 is/was called the Lancer, a semi-distant relative of my father's was involved in designing it, one of those random points of family pride. I wrote to him when I was in middle school asking to learn some plane stuff for a presentation, and he responded with damn near a book of technical information that I am now kicking myself that I don't still have because A) I might actually understand it now, and B) if I'd paid more attention I might have had a different more interesting career.
Your points today made me think about the parallels to football, where you can see in hindsight that Andy Reid was tossing out subpar plays early in the season or game that wouldn't work, but in reality you'd see later that they were testing how defenses reacted to certain motions (corndog!) or how they'd react to certain formations or personnel groups. Regardless of sport, I always wonder who has the mental capacity to keep track of all this stuff, the feints and deceptions and setups and how to remember to get this stuff in there while still actually, you know, trying to win the games? Lee, can you elaborate any on how this process works through the coaching staff and day to day game management?
My mistake for not looking up the correct Stealth Bomber designation. I stand (or in this case, sit) corrected.
The point you make about football also apply to basketball where they try different lineups during the regular season to figure out what they want to do in the postseason. Let me think about your suggestion about the process because if I give it some thought I can probably come up with quite a few examples of those of us watching misunderstanding what the coaching staff was doing.
I know Jason Kendall would look up what batters had done in the previous series and how they reacted in certain counts and situation and then have to decide if he could so the same thing because the batters wouldn't change or do something different because he thought they would.
The favorite activities on March 28th in the Midwest temperate zone known as Kansas City include sunbathing, golf, croquet, and building snowmen. Way too early.
The problem is they keep adding playoff games to make money and they know sooner or later the World Series will be delayed for a blizzard so the they keep pushing the start of the season earlier and earlier. Greed screws most things up and baseball is no exception.
Sounds like a great plan Lee. It can even be better by sneaking in a few rounds of golf
Good advice, now I just need to buy golf clubs and learn how to use them before Saturday.
Have a safe trip, Lee ❤️
Thanks, I'll do my best.

I'll think on it...and thanks.

Have a great time!
Considering what I'm there to do, it'll be hard not to. But thanks for the good wishes.
