My favorite writers -- Elmore Leonard, George V. Higgins, John Connolly, Joe R. Lansdale, Robert B. Parker, John Sandford, Daniel Woodrell and Mick Herron, to name a few -- write the way people talk, not the way others think they should talk. And if the occasionally profanity feels right, in it goes.
If that bothers some readers they should stop reading me and a number of them have and I've got no complaints about that. People should read what they enjoy reading which is probably why I'm only 16 pages into Moby Dick.
Tough to trump profanity... when applied judiciously, it always has my vote!

"political fuck weasels" 😄
O.k., this verbal coinage alone is worth the money I paid to pop for a paid subscription!
I'm officially thrilled that my tendency to be profane finally paid off. Thank you.
